Artisans exhibition at the Kyrgyz Embassy to the USA and Canada

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada is inviting to the presentation of a collection of felt and textile items from the Kyrgyz Republic made by Art group “Tumar” , Art Studio Bukon – participant of the International Folk Art Market – 2013, 2015, 2016, JSC “Aigul”, Gulmira Akmatova “Mountain Cedar Woolens” roza – participant of the International Folk Art Market- 2016, Tatiana Vorotnikova – participant of the International Folk Art Market – 2010, 2016, 7 sisters – participant of the International Folk Art Market – 2011-2015.

The exhibit will be followed by master-class provided by Nurzhamal Asangulova, Designer of the “Art Studio Bukon”. “Art Studio Bukon” is an excellent example of a successful small business model that not only revives Central Asian cultural heritage but also gives employment to women-artisans.

The event will take place on December 10, 2016 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, 2360 Massachusetts ave., NW, Washington, DC, 20008.
