Легализация документов от США с 1 августа 2011 года не производится в связи с присоединением Кыргызской Республики к Гаагской конвенции. В этой связи, на данный момент достаточно, пройти процедуру аппостиля внутри страны (США).

Before documents are submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada for legalization they must be:

А) If the document is created in and sent from the USA:
1) Notarized;
2) Authenticated by the state Secretary of State;
3) Legalized by the U.S. Department of State

Б) If the document is created in and sent from Canada, it must first be legalized by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.

The following documents must be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada in order to have documents legalized:

1. a statement requesting that the document be legalized (from individuals) or a cover letter (from legal entities);
2. the original document;
3. a photocopy of the document;
4. a photocopy of the applicant's passport photo page (for individuals),
5. a photocopy of the passport page bearing the registration stamp (consular registration) (for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic);
6. a money order (money orders only) made payable to the "Kyrgyz Embassy to the USA and Canada" in the amount of $70 (for individuals) or $120 (for legal entities) (please note cash and personal checks will not be accepted) ;
7. A prepaid return envelope (Please note the Embassy is not responsible for the delivery or transmittal of postal correspondence from persons who contact the Embassy to request the consular service of document legalization).

Legalization processing time:
- regular processing time - 10 business days,
- expedited processing time - 3 business days (please note is in this case the fee will increase to 100 %).

Уважаемые граждане,
Посольство убедительно советует всем гражданам направляющим свои документы в Посольство по почте,  пользоваться только заказной формой отправки почтовой пересылки, при отправке просим Вас выписывать трекинг номера конвертов для отслеживания место нахождения вашего конверта. В случае отправки почты обыкновенной или приорити почтой. Посольство за сохранность доставки конверта ответственности не несет.
