Kyrgyz Republic and the USA: Cooperation overview

Diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States have been established on December 27th, 1991. The United States were among the first countries to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan. The Embassy of the USA in Kyrgyzstan was opened on February 1, 1992. The same year the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan was opened in the United States. On December 31, 2014 by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Atambaev, Toktogulov Kadyr Mirbekovich was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States of America. Earlier the ambassadors of the Kyrgyz Republic in the US were: M.Dzhumaliev (2010 – 2014), Z.Sydykova (2005-2010), B.Abdrisaev (1996-2005), R.Otunbaeva (1992-1994). Continue reading…
